"Build a Room" Initiative

SNF will engage with and understand the workings of multiple existing assisted living projects on a pan-India basis. Based on these interactions, a shortlist of projects will be created, with whom we will actively work on the basis of mutual understanding in a spirit of true partnership.

SNF will provide financial grants to this shortlisted set of assisted living projects. Grants will be need-based and targeted to benefit less affluent/middle class families. The SNF will have a clear and simple set of criteria to be satisfied by interested assisted living facilities, for availing of the grant; the parent of the ward will also be expected to contribute. The SNF will use its own resources as well as raise resources from external partners for this cause. Grant will be provided directly to the assisted living facility (not to parents).

How will this work in practice?

Assisted living project will forward names & details of middle-class parents who are unable to fully pay for construction of their room, to The SNF. Financial hardship should be proven by the parent to the facility; facility in turn to share Income tax return or/and a simple statement of assets or net worth of the parent with The SNF.

On satisfaction and mutual agreement, post a physical meeting, The SNF or the trustees will provide a financial grant for each parent to the assisted living facility; balance amount to be paid for by the parent of the ward.
